Hi there! This is Daria, a passionate artist working in the field of 2D Animation.
With experience working as an animating for Klomp! Animation Studio, and on the short film "LouLou" by Hanneke van der Linden, as well as having directed my own short film, "Of Women, Shadows and Lullabies", I am comfortable working across different stages of the creative process: from concept and illustration to animation.
In my personal work, I am drawn to femininity, the realms of emotions, folklore, myths and legends. These are brought forward in my art through poetic, metaphorical and, at times, surreal imagery, with bold, vivid colors and textures. Through my art, I hope to help create change in the inner worlds of the people who encounter it, by encouraging them to pay closer attention to their bodies and emotions.
